Physical and Spiritual Healing in Kenya

Jerry and unknownThe African Gospel Church (AGC), planted by World Gospel Mission (WGM) in 1905, invited Jan and me to speak at their National Youth Convention for 700 youth (ages 14–35). From 48 different districts they gathered to worship, fellowship, and be encouraged by the Word of God. When we initially walked into the worship hall, we were greeted by a mass of youth singing praises to God, and it was like walking into a highly energized storm.

Over the course of the convention we gave numerous invitations to accept Jesus for the first time and to go more deeply into their relationships with God. Quite a few stood and prayed, making first-time decisions. Many others stood and prayed to be more fully dedicated to Jesus and filled with the Holy Spirit. Youth leaders led a powerful extended time of prayer for healing and spiritual freedom.

We heard testimonies from youth and youth leaders of being healed emotionally, spiritually, and physically; being set free from demons; and being fully dedicated to Jesus:

  • “I have been filled with fear, but God has now transformed my heart to a peace that passes understanding.”
  • “I am a youth leader, but my pride has kept me from going all in with Jesus. I’m all in now! I feel such a freedom in Jesus tonight!”
  • “I feel so happy. So happy! Something happened to me and I feel so happy!”

I believe God will change Kenya through these young people!

Testimonies are such a means of encouragement. They are prophetic. Your faithfulness combined with God’s intention created a flashpoint to be remembered. And I am encouraged today by reading this article. Thanks, Jerry and Jan.
