Meet Our Evangelists

Francis Asbury Society evangelists are gifted evangelists and teachers who proclaim the message of salvation and scriptural holiness. They come alongside organizations to lead evangelistic and renewal ministries, they embrace Wesleyan-holiness theology, they model a godly lifestyle, and they spread God’s life-changing message. Meet our evangelists!

Hubert Harriman

FAS Evangelist

Hubert Harriman was born in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, and grew up there as a missionary kid, giving him a fluency in Spanish. He and his wife, Sarah, served as missionaries in Argentina for one year. His first calling is to preach, and he feels that call stirring in his heart in a fresh way. He deeply cares about the message of Scriptural holiness and has faithfully preached it down through his ministry; bringing people to the reality of a life so transformed that they are, by God’s grace, able to live wholly devoted to God.

Hubert received his B.A. in Bible/Missions at Vennard College in 1971. After doing some graduate work in Historical Geography at the Institute of Holy Land Studies (now called Jerusalem University College, 1972-1973), he received his M.A. in Religion at the Anderson School of Theology in 1975. Hubert has received two honorary doctorates conferred by Wesley Biblical Seminary in 2004 and Universidad Evangelica Boliviana in 2016.

Hubert served as the CEO/President of World Gospel Mission for fourteen years and retired in July of 2016. He was awarded the title of WGM President Emeritus by the WGM Board of Directors. Previous positions include senior pastor of Ligonier Evangelical Church in Ligonier, Indiana, from 1976–2002, missionary service in Salta, Argentina from 1975–1976, and senior pastor of an Independent Church in Huntsville, Indiana, from 1973–1975. While serving in these capacities, Hubert preached revival meetings, camp meetings, youth meetings, retreats, and spoke at numerous conferences and seminars, both nationally and internationally.

Hubert and Sarah have been married since 1974 and they have three grown daughters and nine grandchildren.
