Director of Speakers
Jerry Coleman serves as the director of Speakers at The Francis Asbury Society. Jerry leads this team with years of ministry experience in dozens of countries. For the previous 17 years, Jerry and his wife, Jan, served as missionaries in Europe with the Free Methodist Church, the last 11 years as the area director for continental Europe.
After receiving a call to Jesus for spiritual awakening in 1988, Jerry attended the first Francis Asbury Society Spiritual Awakening conference in 1989. He still finds a kindred spirit among those involved with FAS today. Jerry believes “the deep personal call for the nations in 1988 and a love for the people of all cultures helps to prepare me for this new challenge and opportunity with FAS.”
A career in his family’s business was redirected when Jerry felt a call to full-time ministry and consequently ordained in 1987 in the Free Methodist Church. He pastored two churches in the USA and served as the Assistant Director of VISA and Personnel for Free Methodist World Missions before moving with his family to Europe in 1996.
Jerry and Jan have three grown children. Sarah and her husband, Russell, live in Sydney, Australia. Kristin lives in Los Angeles, CA, and David and his wife, Alison, live in Lexington, KY. Jerry is a graduate of Greenville College (Greenville, Illinois) and Asbury Theological Seminary (Wilmore, Kentucky).
