Pastors and lay people around the world need opportunities for renewal and training. This is especially so internationally where the church is growing rapidly. It is essential we respond to these needs. The Francis Asbury Society holds several conferences each year in the United States and Latin America to help meet this need.

As you seek to live the Christian life, are there ever times when you feel that you are trying to climb a greased rope? Probably all of us have encountered times like that. But God has resources for us so that when those times come we can not only live through them, but come out of them at a higher level than we have been before. This retreat is about discovering and taking hold of those resources. Studies from the Bible, including the book of 2 Peter, will enable you to see what God can do with and for a person who is trusting, believing, and obeying him. Come for rest, recharging, and reengaging with an all-powerful Father.

The noblest of all of God’s callings is that of the pastor, the one whom Jesus called the Shepherd of the sheep. All other callings are subsidiary to this one. The future of the kingdom hangs on this office. Jesus’ picture of the effective pastor is quite different from current models. The time is right for some rethinking. Come think and pray with us.
