Meet Our Evangelists

Francis Asbury Society evangelists are gifted evangelists and teachers who proclaim the message of salvation and scriptural holiness. They come alongside organizations to lead evangelistic and renewal ministries, they embrace Wesleyan-holiness theology, they model a godly lifestyle, and they spread God’s life-changing message. Meet our evangelists!

Lane Loman

FAS Evangelist

In these changing times, there is one constant: the Word of God. Lane’s passion is to minister God’s Word through preaching and singing. His purpose and goal is to promote personal spiritual renewal, holiness of heart and life, and revival in the local church.

Lane earned a B.A. degree in Christian Education from Atlanta Christian College (now Point University). He studied Evangelism in the Local Church at Scarritt Graduate Center (Nashville, TN) and holds an M.A. degree in Religion and Spiritual Formation from Northwest Nazarene University.

A native of Greensboro, North Carolina, Lane has been lead pastor of churches in North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, and Indiana. Lane has served in the Evangelical Methodist Church, the Church of the Nazarene, the Friends Church, and the Free Methodist Church. He is an ordained elder and tenured evangelist with the Church of the Nazarene and is associated with the Southeastern Evangelistic Group.

Lane has also been active in itinerant revival ministry, speaking and singing in 15 denominations and 50 different denominational and independent camp meetings. He also produces “The Lights of Spiritual Guidance,” a radio ministry started in 1937 by his father, the late Dr. J. Harold Loman. This program is heard over a network of 14 stations in North Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky. Lane also has recorded 15 song albums and authored three books: The Fruit Still Falls from the Tree (Old Paths Publishing, 2003), The Fruit Is Still Falling (Old Paths Publishing, 2012), and Road Moments—Memories of Living Life Out of a Suitcase (Old Paths Publishing, 2016).

Lane’s wife, Gretchen, a native of Bedford, Indiana, travels and sings with Lane in revival ministry when travel logistics permit. Gretchen also serves as the secretary for Loman Ministries and helps to produce ministry products. Lane and Gretchen have been married since 1997 and have three sons and eight grandchildren.
