Tea Time

TEA Time was birthed February 1, 1999, after walking through months of suffering with my husband, Bob.  April 29, 1998, Bob was diagnosed with cancer and Jesus took him home on December 19, 1998.

One night after the diagnosis with great anguish and tears I poured my heart out to God.  He led me to the book of Habakkuk.

“Look at the nations and watch— and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.”  1:5.

I was/am AMAZED with God’s Presence and His Sustaining GRACE!!

Shortly after Bob’s death, I heard three different
messages referring to the three “T” words of

 grief – Tears, Talk, and Time.  Other “T” words came
to me from the Scripture – Trust, Truthful, Triumph and Treasure.  I felt I needed to share ‘Treasures” that God was showing me through His Word and Treasures/gold nuggets that I was gleaning from reading or hearing how God was working in lives.   “TEA Time” kept coming to mind.

T – Truthful – Tell it as it is –from the heart.  John 14:6.  JESUS IS THE TRUTH!

(John 8:31-32) “…Jesus said, If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.  Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

E – Encouragement/Examination from God’s Word. 

Hebrews 3:13. “But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.” 

2 Corinthians 13:5  “Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves.  Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?”

A – Affirmation/Application

Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 2:13 “For it is God who works in you to act according to His good purpose.”

Tea Time is a ministry to encourage us in our walk with Jesus.  There are two email groups; Regular and Partial.  Regular receives all the messages I send out – serious and humorous. The number of emails varies each week.  Partial is once or twice a week and usually includes just the serious.
